How Does E Learning Work?
E-Learning gives you the flexibility to learn where and when you want. You do not have to give up your job and you set time to study. To help you understand the commitment needed, each of the course descriptions estimates the amount of time it will take you to complete the course. All our courses are divided into easy-step modules made up of clearly identified study units. You work through each unit at your own pace. Each course has useful tips and self-assessments at every stage.
What do I need to get started?
You will find information for each course if you require any previous qualifications or experience. Many courses do not require any previous experience, qualifications or special equipment, just the desire to learn and willingness to do more for yourself.
How long should it take to complete my course?
Depending on the course you have chosen and the amount of time you can commit, it could take from six weeks to nine months to complete your course. The duration of the course is largely down to you though. Course length varies: on each course page you’ll find information on the approximate number of hours of studying involved in that course, as well as the support period available. Most students complete their course within a year, although some of our students require longer and we try our best to accommodate this. Our Student Advisers are happy to hear from our Students after they have finished studying with us, perhaps asking some advice or letting us know of their progress.
How long does it take to start my course?
All our courses and course material is processed immediately. Time differences mean that sometime you might contact our help desk out of hours but we do our best to accommodate all our users.
Can I study from outside the UK?
All of our courses are available to overseas students, though if you need to sit an exam we will advise you before you make any purchase. There are no geographical limits and we have many Students and Learners around the world. We are pleased that so many overseas students trust their study requirements with Nu Courses. We always make clear to students that are tutors are UK based and although both the Tutors and Support Staff are fluent in many languages, we conduct our courses in English. For many International Students, this is considered a benefit as it is also an opportunity to converse and work using the English language.
What qualifications will I receive at the end of my course?
On successful completion of your course you’ll receive a qualification from the awarding/ accrediting body of your course. Each course page specifies exactly what qualification you’ll receive at the end of the course. Many of our courses are home study and self development courses which are for your knowledge building rather than for qualifications.
